I'm not making any promises, I've never done it, but they should be a direct swap. If you go to a junkyard, you could get lucky and play around, but also, I would pick up brackets going all the way to the body just in case.

For wiring, you would want to look behind the rear trunk panel to find the connection, and get whatever one comes along with the taillights you get. They have different sized bulb sockets that only fit in the matching years' taillights. The license plate light has a disconnect point too, on 92-94 it's directly behind the black or red center panel.

I have the whole assembly, wiring, bulbs and all. About the bumper I am not sure it being a direct bolt on. I picked up a bumper and the cover. You may just need the bumper cover and the wiring.

what I want is a set of all CLEAR lights. no color (the bulbs would be colored...like an NHRA tree light, and would "strobe down", whenever you let your foot off the brake)

are you saying you have the whole assembly for sale? or setup on your car?

If for sale, state a price. And I'll be heading to pick and pull tomorrow to look at a 92 metro and see if anything is the same. BUt how would I know if they are the same without taking mine off and looking at them first? Its hard to take parts off of a daily vehicle:( especially one prone to problems

The wiring will not be plug and play going from 91 Metro lights to 92-94 Swift lights. Just helped swap a fellow member over to the Swift lights (from a 91 vert).

However, if you are competent with a solder gun, you can easily solder the 91 connector onto the 92-94 harness. Took me 10 minutes to do his.

Good bye

There are stamped steel brackets spot welded to the 92-94 cars that are needed for this swap. I drilled out the spot welds and screwed the tin to my car. There is a hole in the middle for the license plate wiring and extra plug in spots in the harness and the plugs are different. The wiring colors are the same between years. The steel part of the bumper is different so get all the parts.

On his 91 we didn't have to change a thing on the car itself, just the wiring.

*Note*, he retained the tag in the same spot.

I have said a price in earlier posts. 28 for each lens assembly per side and 10 bucks for the center piece. If you want to go to PnP be my guest. They will be the same price.

Each lens assembly has the wiring and bulbs that came on the car I took them from.

As Z-34 has said I guess the wiring would need to be changed. Maybe it is possible to put the 91 connector on the 92 lens. I will give it a whirl tomorrow.

I have the day off tomorrow and have a few things on the car that need to get done before the meet Friday.

So to swap over the rear bumper from a 91 over to a 93 I would need the metal bumper not just the plastic bumper? I went to the pick and pull and removed the lip and bumper, The car is gone already so If i need something else i might be screwed
