Hi I have tried searching and couldn't get this figured out. Anyways I received this geo that had sat for 2 years because of a broken timing belt. Its a 94 and I had a 93 parts one that ran not well but ran. I put the timing belt on the 94 had it all timed properly but it wouldn't start I tried a few things then eventually got it to start by removing the one fuel line and dumping it straight into the throttle body tried putting the hose back and it died. At this point I had determined that it must be the injector so I swapped intakes which was very difficult as they were very different but eventually got it hooked up.. but unfortunatlly same problem. I tried switching all the f1 fuses/ relay.. please help idk what else to do

You dumped fuel down the throttle body and it fired up. Chances are your fuel pump is not running or has died.Turn the ignition on and listen for the fuel pump to run for a few seconds.

If fuel pump is running, you may have low pressure caused by a few things. 1. clogged fuel filter. located at front driverside of fuel tank under car. 2. clogged pick-up screen on fuel pump. This is most likely cuised by sitting for 2 years with E10 fuel in it and tank is rusted. Rust flakes off and clogs screen. Get a fuel pressure tester and check pressure at big fuel line to throttle body. With key on, but not started should get 28 psi. If not you are either clogged as described above or fuel pump is dying.

If you changed intakes, did you connect your ground wires back up afterwards on the intake? What is differant about the intakes? Put the original correct intake back on it.

ok so I swapped fuel tanks and the new fuel pump fixed it thank you guys. I swapped back to original intake and it drove great for about four hours but sadly my connecting rod snapped so I swapped everything back to the 93 and its running good now burns a bit of oil will be doing a rebuild on the one with the broken connecting rod. I love the support I got on this site and will be on here more often. Thank you everyone.
