Anyone know the dry weight for the 3cyl, long/short block? gotengines.com has free shipping,so I was unable to find it on their sight. I'm just curious about the weight. No one seems to have the specs on this. Looking at it, it looks like I could almost just power a short block into the bay by hand.

Thanx for the quick answers, guys, that's about what I figured. Hope I put my post in the right section of the forum - this seemed the closest for my question. I'm also considering just giving it a re-pop right in the engine bay - looks pretty open in there. Still weighing my options at this point.

I have put two G10's in by hand and it isn't too hard. Remember it will be easier without the alternator and all the pulleys attached. I personally left the timing cover off until it was mostly in.

I put a block of wood on a jack under the oil pan and raised/lowered the entire engine as needed to get bolt holes to line up and such for the bell housing, mounts, and such. This also made it easier to raise the engine and access bolts on the timing cover and such. The last two bolts I put in were those on the passenger side front mount.

My engine with manifolds and TB was shipped at 110 pounds.

Since we are revisiting engine installing... We have had some members build frames in their driveway or garage for engine removal.
