question about rebuild?

I just did a complete rebuild on my engine, new oil pump and everything and cleaned all the lifters, and it still has a couple ticks in the lifters? I have only ran it about 10 minutes after the rebuild. But wouldnt you guys think the lifter noise should be gone by now? or do I need to just drive it and waite? And I am wondering if there is enough oil getting to the top? I took of the oil cap and saw it splashing up there but it was not spraying out pass the oil cap? Any advice is appreciated, Thanks.

Oh and all the lifers seem to look fine after I cleaned them all out? Should I put some Marvel mystery oil in? I am not sure if I should put that in right after a Rebuild? But I would think that would be fine? what do you guys think? Thanks.

Drive the car for a couple of miles. The lifter ticking will go away.

Let it run. It can take 15 minutes or more to quiet down.

It will not hurt my engine if it has a little tick will it? I just want to make sure the valves are opening right? Thanks.

I checked my other geo metro and took of the oil cap, and it splashes way harder our of the oil cap, then the car I just rebuilt? I wonder why that would be? And I used white lithium grease for assembly lube? I think it should be getting more oil to the top?

If the engine sounds good otherwise, don't worry about it. Ticking after installing new or cleaned lifters is normal. It won't hurt anything.
