cylinder head alignment pins; can i reuse them?

I am getting ready to install a rebuilt cylinder head on my 91. The new head does not have the two alignment pins - should I remove the ones from the old head? Any suggestions for getting the old ones out? Can I / should I get new ones?
Thanks.

The alignment pin P/N is P/N 04211-13189. $1.74 each from Suzuki.

They are reusable if you don't damage them.

Use a propane torch or heat gun to heat the area of the head around the pin. Spray on some sort of penetrating oil.

They might come out by gently using Vice-Grips. Or, you can get a long pin punch and tap them out through the head bolt hole through the top of the head.

Don't worry if you ding them up a little bit. Smooth off the rough edges, and put them back in service.
