If you have a heavy load on your alternator, such as the equipment you describe, it loads the alternator down. The alternator then loads the engine down. The engine still has to turn the alternator whether it has a light load or a heavy load. Light load = not much engine rpm drop. more load on the alternator = more drop to the engine rpm. |

all you have to do is bring it to a rebuilder shop and buy the proper 12 and 6 o'clock case half. that's what I did with mine, could find the proper alternator body but not the mounting points. |
