Jerks off and on acceleration; with video

video coming soon.
recently dialed in my tps, and idle speed. problem has been occurring ever since i installed my transmission.
for a process of elimination i drive it without the O2 sensor plugged once, no change. also in the vid i did one 'lap' without the tps plugged, other with it again no difference there.
two out of the three engine mounts are urethane-filled. other one is stock.
jerks the most under 2K rpm, on/off throttle and letting out the clutch.
engine components are weighted and balanced, flywheel crank and pulley resurfaced/balanced
transmission and clutch come out of my donor car (did a 5 speed swap) which was 1995 firefly 1.3L . i had inspected the clutch this spring and still within tolerance. this problem occurred on the donor car before but was exacerbated probly by a out of spec tps or iac .
i have fixed most big problems in this car, now i'm moving onto the little ones that i have to solve.

only thing i can think of it being the actual clutch pad and plate - but these show no obvious signs of wear. clutch does not slip. i installed it with the centering tool. opinions >

Your trans makes a ridiculous amount of noise man. Honestly, we have the same powertrain, and I don't have the issue like you have. My engine has never been trouble. You said the problem has been occurring since the trans install. I would personally lean towards something being wrong with your trans. My .02 may not be worth much in this situation though.

53 mpg last trip

Too much background noise: rain, wipers, AC on full. Hard to hear the motor.

Clutch spring? I know you checked them but that's all i can think of that would make the driveline "springy" like that.

i didn't check my clutch spring - only the clutch pad thickness. i am unaware on how to check or measure the clutch springs. it is equally 'springy' with gas on/off between 2K and 2.5K rpm.

after watching this youtube video i now understand the purpose of the clutch pad springs, and this could actually be the symptom.

perhaps my symptom is behaviour of a defective unit, or all have this effect ?

installed a new upstream O2 sensor today, BOSCH premium oxygen sensor #13500 . ain't cheap, but old one gave out a DTC this morning. we'll see if this has anything to do with some of my symptoms.

It could. An old sensor, even one that works, gets "lazy" and slow to react to the changes, which slows the signal to the PCM as well. Any new sensor is always better than an old one, even one working perfectly.

Makes no difference. I can really feel the springy from the clutch springs though.
