I read your post old man and I thank you for the input, but by the time I read it the plane had crashed into the moutain.....I also figured, screw it I am going to cut even more off the springs so I cut another slice off the bottom and put it altogether. It was frustrating using a ratchet on the spring tools so I used an air drive tool. Made me able to seat the parts smooth with out bumping the pices. I also cleaned the bearings in the turning part of the strut thing and that is now silky smooth. So now that the car is all chopped up I need the new springs lol

Front cut springs, rear is 100% stock. Took 20 years to get that low.

how does it ride?
I will do my best to explain---

Since I have the 4:39 and 12" wheels the car under acceleration would pitch up in the front hard and then dive when shifting and back up till the rpm leveled out. Under these conditions the car would pull right only under acceleration tho. Now it does not seem like the front suspension is loaded up where as before it seemed like the car had 3" of sag, and the power would go on and raise the car up.

Braking hard seems to be more predictable because the front won't dive so hard Into the front brakes, i do have to say it is better but as turning goes....seems no diffeent. The new sway bushings made a bigger difference in turning than the springs.

My dad fixed my steering rack and made it super tight then on top of that I greased the bearings in the struts. Turns like butter.

Then take the air hose in the garage, turn off the fan and blow all this out and hot box the garage with asbestos dust. :x

Sounds good. All you need now is top and bottom strut tower braces in front............$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Oh man, :die

after reading about your springs I must have done the same thing. I only cut a half coil off cause I didn't want it to be too low but it didn't seem to have any effect at all. :(

dang it now I have to do it all over again... :-/ ;) :lol

E brake adj is inside the car- take off plastic ebrake housing, you will see a nut behind the handle. That is where you adjust it- idk If I made sense but its easy- think its a # 10

asbestos in brake linings has been outlawed for 25 years. brake pads have been organic or organo-metallic for a long time.

in special cases you may be exposed to kevlar dust but not asbestos. they never built a metro with asbestos brakes. :D
