So today Gary stopped by and I got to see his green machine, sweet car.

He helped me change my brake fluid and it was bad, black sludgy fluid. Did the Johnny mullet tip and sucked all the fluid out of the (one clear part) and added it back in then bled the brakes, added more sucked it out filled it up bleed some more. Got all the nasty stuff out clean and clear, thanks for the tips all.
Yes, I survived the scorpion and spider loving garage. Got to do some small projects and got a scenic tour of Mesa too.

This is the RHD skate fender, it will go to my car since my fender was wrecked. It will get pruned then painted flat black for now. 60 hour work weeks make it hard to mess a with my car like I want.

After further inspection the fender has a curve to it from the accident it's a slight curve so nothing too bad.

Going to need to equip my car with marker lights now.

:rocker geo metro GSI

I use this farm tough rust block paint because it was free and also is a super good filler leaves the surface prepped for the black.

Got the fender on with some work, Gary's accident left this fender bent too, so I pressed and forced it to line up with the bolt holes. Looks alright.

While the bumper was off I fitted it with this foam thing just mainly to get it out of my bedroom.

Also changed the oil, this is the darkest I've ever let it get, after the car got hit I kinda didn't really care to even work on my car so it went 3,200 miles my usual change is 2,700-2,500 or bi-weekly.

Got to love the Honda look, unleaded rice only.

The car is back together for now, I think this summer I will try to fix up the body work.

2500 mile oil change? Why?
Because, I push this engine to its edge every day, so I keep it clean inside and use a huge oil filter and air filter. If I drove easy for mpg then the oil would probably last longer, between the heavy use on highways high rpm high speed long hauling rpm and constant stop and go. It gets abused so the least I can do is return the favor and keep it clean inside and out. Plus my dad made this engine for him self but gave it up so I could have a car again, I just assume take good care of it.

I little piece of the Skate lives on thru your car. :rocker I was still surprise that the right fender came out with the minimal tweaking that it did, considering how the left side looked. Figure out what fender lights to go with? Need to install those Swift GT headlamps too. Good to see it all back assembled again, to eliminate the wind-drag it had. Sucks you had to go through all of this work simply because of another driver's carelessness.

Good on you with the frequent servicing. We've seen what neglect can cause (Protege engine).

Quick eBay search yielded this one. Advertised as 'Cultus' but so were the ones I bought, which members later told me they weren't. There's also a LH one listed too.

Another eBay ad... this one's for a set. Look the same as I originally got. Back side isn't pictured so I don't know for sure.

T- I am going to save that color match fender for you- when you come to see your dad, you can pop it off and take it.
cheers, and it looks a lot better with the skates fender than that messed up parking lot mess someone left for ya.

:) thanks Linda, have not heard from you in a while. Looks like I'll hold off on painting the other side. Do you have a pic you can send me of the fender?

Well my car had its first oil fart ever, got it up to 6,700 rpm and poof thought I broke something, guess that's the engine telling me that's as far as it can go. If I had horse power like some people I would not have to slam so hard to get up to speed on a dangerous free way junction. Got some one in front of every one getting on a 75-80 mph free way at 40 mph that's dangerous for the guy in the back, me! They have horse power to jump traffic with no effort I must slam my car so hard to not get run over. Extremely frustrating.

I have taught my kids from a young age that you need to get up to freeway speed early on the onramp because it is easier to slow down to match speed to a hole in traffic than it is to try to speed up to catch a hole.

:rocker exactly, and it's less harsh to use the full ramp to smoothly transition to traffic.

Any one had people who stop on a free way ramp? That is terrifying.
