I am the one on the left.

this is great- you have a fun car with great sound, and you aren't afraid to jump in.
You have tackled some projects that others have considered but not implements, so, all of this means- its about time you put together a project thread.
This is great- seriously great stuff. :)

After many hours of carefull gap filling the fog lamp is complete, no holes in it so should stay clean and dry inside. I added epoxy for leveling and after 24 hours I will polish the glass and epoxy in. I sure hope tht holds out for a log while.

I have sanded the skirts and bumper started on 180 then 220 girt sand paper.

I did not remove all the dings and scratches, it adds charecter and my car being 20 years old shows 20 years of wear, so when these parts go on they will also show wear, making it look like it was ment to be that way.

When the car gets a fully body make over then all the little blemish can be repaired.

Since my car has black belly from the wheel bumper line down, the side skirts will be black as well. My hood is currently black so the GT hood will be black also.

All the parts (pictures above) are washed soap water scrubbed. Last step is to actitone wipe with a clean lint free cloth then primer paint them.

The hood is prepared ready for prime-remember I am leaving small blemishes in the parts for an authentic look. I want my car to roll like a high ballet but she's old so we keep her looking good for her age and dress her in appropriate panels ;)

Corian in the garage....I thought it was a great counter top material idk I never thought of it like being nice, got coarian counters all over the garage. I like it more than the laminate wood. But thank you.

Bumper will get the black out look, was a pain sanding in all the cracks and holes, it's primer in this pic. Soon as the primer dries and sets up, I will paint it black.

The marker lights were so sun rotted I went to wash them and they crumbled to dust so I will have to use my mark lights and I hope metro bumper lights fit in the GTi bumper.

Also the glass fog lamps one of them was badly damaged I have that repaired and ready for install.
