I still might do fixed outlets, I just wouldn't remove them from the inverter. Might zip tie the cables to the inverter so you don't have to invert yourself to plug them back in after all the potholes shake them out. The empty space is probably more about having a symmetrical dash and leaving some room to service the blower etc.

Ah yea your probably right. I bet there is enough room under my dash for my huge amps, I was peeking around under there and there is room for the amps and even air flow fans. With some thinking I bet I could put all kinda of devices under the dash....pop up GPS sat nav DVD console any one? :lol I have wanted my car to be a wifi hot spot for a long time. Run lap tops and phones and navigation service off of it. Plus could run a security system 8 way cams the works...lol if only I had the funds I would try to make something cool like that :lol

Here are some springs I cut a modest half coil out of them, I had a half cool off my old springs and it was just about right.

T3 suggested I could use my old bump stops if they were not shot, I think these ones are ok, they are not rotted and cracked so I will re use them. He gave me the web page where I could find his bump stops but that will be a next time project. So these bump stops will do.

The springs (pictured above) are drying out right now I gave the cut metal a fresh blast of some gloss black to match the way they were already. Plus these excel G KYB struts will look good with black springs. Nothing fancy to report on the boots I'm just using the stock boots.

Note the worn spots on these spring seats, I will just rotate them to a fresh spot and let the hole be in a low wear part of the seat.

Can't forget about the small details T3 and snowfish left nothing un touched and nice rides, so to follow in great foot steps I got to do the detail work as much as I can.

I been using the soft flat iron rustolium paint and I like the look. Goin with that!

Selfie aside, here is the spring installed and all done up real nice. 1 side down 1 to go. New shocks are going to be safer more comfortable and feel good.

So a quick drive of the car and now I'm asking my self, why did I not put new shocks on the car years ago. Shocks feel good, they soak up the little bumps in the road and hold the front wheels stable wile in a turn, I am impressed with the shocks. Now let's tackle the rear ones!

:deal don't tell geo glennbut I had a BACON sandwich for dinner....

So the rear is out, what a pain in the butt, rust was tough on the pinch bolt but I got it out with some slow turn and spray turn and spray. I will go get stainless steel tomorrow and replace them.
I was fiddling with the rear strut and I don't think it has much oil in it, it's 90%air inside of it. The new KYB strut is going to feel so much better. But it's dark and time to go inside. So let's do this later.

New question, I see this rust going on here and I have a turbine brace coming soon, what bolts do I need to start spray with WD? Get them soaked up for easy install.?

PS I don't know how you guys deal with rust, my rust is minimal, I can not imagine rust of 20 years worth.

Funny you say that, as I was wondering what it would be like to have a car that has no rust!! LOL :evillol
