i was told its stiffer, i only drove around the block and stuff so im not sure yet;. if your hitting bump stops then maybe some other suspension mods, i never hit my bump stops on bumps and my car is loaded with junk. speakers amps water batteries tools and many other things. i did buy the4 kyb struts and i love them. they soak up all the bumps and make the ride smooth. also a nice fat burn out the single tire fire doesn't chatter like it used to, stays and roasts. :rocker

I've never done fiberglass in my life, thought I would try to make some speaker enclosures, these red bowls are the perfect size for the 6 inch speakers. I thought I would use the bowl fiberglass it mount speaker to parts blah blah....yea this is not that easy. I've never been shown how or any thing, just tried it.

Instead of actual fiberglass the shops use a fabric, fleece or jersey material, something stretchy.

For small projects like that, I like to cut strips of cloth about 2" wide by about 4" long and the overlap them when I do the wet layup. I use China freight tiny paint rollers to apply the resin. The rollers are about as big as my index finger, and it pushes the cloth down flat.

Fiberglass is pretty easy work. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I've been in the custom car audio industry for 14 years. I am always for helping others if they need it. Fleece is a great alternative. Using brushes will help as well

I just did my swift conversion on my current daily driver, seats, steering wheel, spoiler, tachometer, hood, headlights side skirts and front bumper, it looks sweet but now the 12 inch wheels make it look funny, I would use my other wheels but i broke the lug specially to use them gorilla nuts.

:hmm I like the 12" wheels, did you see how I painted them up? My car is lower than stock and the 12" wheels tuck under the body and they are drowned out because they are so small. What transmission do you have? 4:10? I also use the 4:39 on light rotating parts, super fun with 12" wheels. I can't remember if you have a project page I need to go look. If you want any specific angles or pics let me know ill pm them to you.

Second attempt with little strips, worked much better. But still learning, I think if I use some other material over this it might work good.

Banginmetro- if you been doing that for so long your probably going to laugh at what I got, the most hoopty system on a shoe lace budget, home done everything with NO knowledge of how it works, trial and error. :x

Ok so I was trying the fiber glass thing and it was not working out for me. I'm just going to try these food bowls and see how it works. I bought some nice little brakets and some hardware lock nuts and washers. I used some red RTV to seal up the spot for the bracket.

Inside view, lock nuts washers and some glue.

Back side, also has a little red glue between plastic and bracket.

And the what it will look like view.
