It's nice to see the passion you work on your car with. :)
You're not afraid to jump in and do something that might be cool - even if you don't know what you're doing.
I think that's great! ^o)

I'm looking forward to seeing where you progress to.
Enthusiasm like you have can take you a long way. :thumb

So I started the car again to figure out why the oil. It seems to be coming from behind the cam sprocket. Literally an oil fall (like a water fall but oil) a nice stream of oil pissing all over my clean car....ugh...take it back apart

Alright so the car runs, now I know the belt can be -1 dead on or +1 tooth and still run. I am doubting myself and I can't imagine I got it right the first time, I been playing with the timing and it won't ping....feels good drives good but I don't know if it's right. I'll let it coo off while I eat cake and some iced coffee

Experience is what makes a good mechanic, and you are getting lots of it. You are getting what automotive trade schools can't give you. Keep doing what you are doing! (Wax on, wax off...)

Ok car smoke had cleared up, I've cleaned off the oil mess. And took it for a real drive, still low on coolant so I kept an eye on my level. I romped the gas and broke the tires free (tire) "singular" :lol wow that was fun even tho the car is not tuned up just yet I think the cam paired with the low gear transmission and small tires makes for a little monster :D

:rocker totally dude.

Here's how it all went down. First no cam seal then the second time I took it apart put the seal all the way in its socket, and fired it up an blew the seal out....I took it BACK apart fixed it up thinking I made a mistake and the seal was to far in, so I moved the seal a bit more out and it blew again....I took it BACK APART! And found that on the bearing for the cam there is a weep hole for oil, I had clogged it with a blob of glue, ok cleaned out set the seal tighten the cam bearing to 8'lbs and bada bing bada boom ran great...so what did we learn? How to take the valve cover off set the sprocket and timing :lol oh and the cam seal is stupid :P
