It's a good thing I got a geo because they are quite forgiving when it comes to messing stuff up, even a messed up metro still runs. And mistakes normally don't hurt them to bad, some twincam swift I would have really messed it up by now lol

Turbo3 and Twincam Tweaker

when you trimmed the front flange off the valve cover it also got rid of the timing notch. :P

and the twincam is pretty bullet proof. you can have up to 21 degrees of valve timing error before pistons clash with valves. i lost a timing belt at idle on my white gt and was lucky not to have sustained valve damage.

a g10 is good to go. you can sling a timing belt off a 3 banger and it's usually none the worse for wear. ;)

So after fighting the dumb backwards + head stupid legs that hold the dash I cut one of them with a saw (took forever) and I'm replacing them with bolt head bolts...duh backwards fillips.

Ok any way all this smelly dust and old grease on the joints for the HVAC system will get cleaned re-greased and lubed cables. The system will be sealed for air tight operation and going to insulate all I can here....oh yea and install the air conditioner.

I corrected my error of that and punched a nice notch where it used to be. I'm getting good at setting the belt and such.

I found that if the water pump is on it's best to use a quality tool like a snap on or old style crapsman because the new style crapsman is like 3mm fatter than old crapsman. The snap on 12mm is really thin also gets in behind the pump pulley and the cover pice with the marks.

Holy crap I'm amazed this blower even works...the brush is SO thin it's come out of its tracks and is rubbing the wires dead on the armature

This is the only snag up I had the entire time. So I started by cutting the tube because I could not get the screw out. I'll fix the hollow tube with a dowel rod, more later. So after the cut I needed to remove the screw, the end of it was so stripped out I could not get it, so I tried the death wheel and I'm holding this death wheel and got my fingers on this little thing. The death wheel is jumping because it's cutting the wrong direction (ready to bite my fingers) and you know that little voice in your head that tells you (your going to mess up bad, your gunna get hurt) well that little voice was like a PA system in my face screaming "finger loss" "blood will be spilled" so I tossed aside the death wheel for a pair of vice grips and ripped the stupid thing out and I'll use a 10mm bolt (or 8) head with a washer and that should fix this. No blood was shed yet but we have a long project ahead....freaking death wheel....sketchy man sketchy....

In the ultimate battle for luxury the way I see it, I'm glueing this pice in to reduce the chance for rattles and vibration.

And this blower box gets a thin layer of sealant around the edge, I've got it clamped for now. I will see if when I take it apart if it "made a gasket" or didn't work. If I got to re do the sealant no big deal this is an experiment for this pice.

Was trying to be so carefull when removing this thing because I wanted to try experiments on it. The weight of itself...like 0.1 pounds...broke it, good thing I got a brand new one!!!

So a question for you mega metro guys, what if I had a valve that would bypass my heater core? Because there is no need to have the heater in AZ for the summer and the other 360 days. Basically in the engine bay if I had a bypass valve to circulate from one side to the other hose and not got through the heater core. Trust me we don't need more heat in the cabin of the car :x

My '70 Bronco had a shut-off valve under the hood. I think it would be a good idea. Not sure how much heat is generated by coolant circulating thru the core in the cabin.
