I would certainly try it. Cost & time would be less than $10 and an hour to install a crossover. I don't know about the newer cars but the older cars have a 'butterfly valve' installed in a 'y' tube. If it works out right then it would be easy to get an old choke cable and run the control inside by the steering wheel |

That's a good idea, it's mainly because I'm getting AC and summers here are hot I mean hot, there is a small flappy door that separates the coolant filled hot core from the cold blowing AC, and my idea is why heat my cold air. The only issue I see with this is if I have a malfunction in my cooling system and I need to turn on the blower and the hot to cool the engine I can't. |

That is your blower resistor. If it's broken only the high setting works. And here is the post you remember, http://geometroforum.com/topic/4215161/1/#new |

![]() So a few days ago I busted a socket extension from china. I found a use for it Used some JB weld and this small section of socket extender to put in the tube I cut. ![]() So the pice of socket is in the tube, I used a punch to stab the tube and pinch the metal and JB weld all inside, then some gorilla tape and boom I fixed it ![]() |

![]() Mostly conceren about the face vents so I insulate those the best. ![]() I sound deadened the dash board itself with some heat shield stuff. Installed the duct work added some zip ties to help hold the tape. The tape I'm using is gorilla brand tape. All the parts are cleaned simple green and vinegar. A new dash pad was also installed and silicon was used on the joints and tape then zip ties. Ima have an ice box! You watch 120° out and I'll be using the ice scraper ![]() Where did I get the foam? I got it from a Cali king mattress, my mom got one them sleep number beds so I tore into the bed and got huge sheets of awesome foam of different density and the spring was recycled with the other metals. ![]() So AC parts are in, got the wires too hook up. The AC box is insulated the joints between the blower box AC box heat box are all upgraded to glue I replaced and cut my own foam for the flappy door that controls fresh air or recirculated air. All the duct work is insulated dash is sound deadended and rattle resisted fire wall behind all these boxes is insulated triple stack. I had a tough time stuffing the AC and blower box in there because the padding was so thick. They are nice and snug now, should be a good operation. I also fixed my heater control resistors per geo Glenn's wright up, thanks MMM for the direct and Glenn for the work. Lots and lots of work this is, got a date to get this system vac and charged this weekend.

Yea thanks dude, I look at it like if I can run the AC on low because it's THAT good means I don't have to listen to the blower

![]() So I had a fitting of Gary's RHD car that was in the accident the tube was magled but the fitting was in great shape. I removed the tubes took them to a custom AC shop and they welded me up this with new fittings good and and sturdy. Lucky I live in Arizona where we have shops that ONLY service AC systems, this shop builds custom AC stuff for hot rods RVs boats whatever they build it. I was afraid I was going to have to have new tubes bent and fitted but the guy was asking me ae questions and he told me if I took the parts off myself he would only charge me for the welding and stuff. Made out 53$ on that service, not bad. |

So I turned on my blower with all new gaskets and sealed up. Gale force wind even with blown brushes. I can't imagine a new blower motor. This going to be sweet. |
