tanner, if your plan is to put a speedo dial face registered for 120 mph on a speedo that, from the factory, came with faces registered to 85 mph it won't indicate your true speed.

for any kind of accuracy at all you would use a speedo from a swift gt, registered to read 120 mph and then do the white face that is registered for 120 mph.

do you get my meaning?

look at the speed registration on 120 mph clock and relate that to the angle of the needle on a speedo registered to read 85 mph. at a real road speed of 35 your speedo would be reading 50 mph. at 80 mph real time your speedo would read 110 mph. ;)

Yea yea yea that's what I'm doing lol. Guess I need to explain myself better. Ok I start over lol

I have 2 cluster sets 1 goes to 120 and one goes to 85

85 mph tac cluster I'm sending out to my dad for his geo
120 speed set I bought 120 speed faces to match the interior of my gray car and white back lights for that clean feel. There that should clear up silly mess

the 120 mph speedo should be in a swift gt cluster and that will have the 4 cylinder tach. you will have to either recalibrate the tach or swap it out with one from a 3 banger so that the 'uberations per minuten' reads correctly.

be aware that the red line marking on the tach is different between the 3 banger and the twincam. ;)

You live in a sweet place!!! Well, when it's not too dusty out. I spent my young childhood in the desert of southeastern California. Born there. The Arizona desert feels like home to me.

Ok so I hate to admit that the nankang tires are :shit but they are. Gray wolf was right.

Here's the story. A while ago I bought new nankang tires mounted them up and had my mexi homie balance them up for me. They didn't drive right an I took them back to him and he said they are perfect and showed me the read out. I drove dr about a week 600 miles and I hated the vibration it was awfull so i decided possible bent rim. I got a quote for discount tire to do a road force balance on the tires and they said it was slightly off ,- dollers 40 now. So I drive home call them and say they are atill off balance, I took them another rim said here if one is bent change it. Discount changed one rim claiming it was bent out of shape. I tried the set up no diffrence and they were still off balance. I got ahold of a manager at discount tire and he said he would have his best guy balance them so after yet another balance and another day of driving still no good. I took all the wheels off the car put my 13" wheels on and used that for time. I took all 4 nankang tires in and said something is wrong and I demand to watch the operator balance them. Manager let me go in the shop in my nice work slacks and shirt I watched the balance it was spot on but I saw that the tires were no round when the tec opened the safety cage. So he started to spin all the tires and found I had 4 defective tires. So after getting the proper paper work from discount I was able to fight Onlinetires.com and get 4 new nankang tires mailed in and 4 junk defective tires shipped back. So here I am doing this all over again. Now, some may ask why did it take so long to do all this? The answer is I work 7 days a week 2-2.5 hour commute every day I take care of my mom and the house I didn't have time to dick with junk tires over and over. So here we are weeks later with 4 new nankang tires mounted up fresh paint rims ready for a balance. I tell you guys how much work this had all been.

For any of my metros I've always bought and will continue to buy Kumho Brand. They last forever and are fairly priced.
