Why do your lug nuts look so weird, they look like they're too far sunken in?

Are those 13" wheels on a 12" car? Lugnuts definitely don't look right.

They are 12" rims stock 92 metro, it might be because I loosened the lugs before the picture.

could be related to the wrong lug nuts?
they dont look right to me.
you would be surprised to see the stress lines involved from using the wrong lug nut or tightening it to much.
this will happen, on some cars if you tighten the lug nuts to much, it will warp the rotors everytime.
seems to be a pattern to me, as there is a crack next to each lug nut hole?
its talking to you, try to listen.
its showing you something is wrong, this is not a known problem so its related to the car somehow.

Both those wheels were on the front, I am not sure if constant stress from running my local canyon had any thing to do with it. It's a daily thing to get those front brakes smoking hot. (Why I change brake parts so much) but I imagine the rim would get hot also from the massive heat generated. But these rims have gone through probably 500,000 hot cool cycles. Sress and time got the best of them, I am going to be more on top of inspection of rims.

Now for the other issue I been having is occasionally under heavy load at high rpm 4000+ the car will cut out for a second. This is before red line when it's cutting out. Any way I found this under my car today so may solve the issue to fix this.

Drip drip drip drip

This seems to only drip when the car is running.

Don't get that car too hot with a leak like that! I had a similar leak on my 91 and it was a pain to get to (I didn't have the proper tools). Those lines fought me to the death! :scared

that's a non-oem fuel filter anyway. i would suggest that you replace the hoses and bypass the filter at that location. move a replacement filter just like the steel cased one in your pic to the engine bay.

the engine bay offers more protection for the filter and makes servicing it easier. ;)

I thought about that but I was not sure if it was something people did or not. I'm tempted to get back under there and fix it now.
