Geo Resurrector

I wasn't surprised when it broke since I had already inspected the bottom of the car and saw the rust. I really should have done some reinforcement, but thankfully it broke in a parking lot instead of the highway, and I was able to limp it home. The mount pictured above is now reinforced with multiple pieces of steel, the front control arm mounts are reinforced with a turbine tech brace, and the passenger side rear mount is fairly solid as-is. I recently sold the car to a friend, but I made sure to show him every rust spot on the car (took a while )I don't regret buying the red Metro since I got it for cheap and got plenty of use out of it, but I'm tired of messing with the rust buckets around here, so for my next Metro I plan on saving up and going down south and getting a rust-free shell. |
