I have a 92 geo metro conv . with a 88-90 eng. 5 spd trans.

My geo will only run with the distributor turned all the way to the wall.(FULL ADVANCE) Will it hurt my engine or head ?

I've had a couple of bad heads, and I have never had to advance my timing all the way to the firewall.

Why do you think your head is going bad??

I bought the engine from a junk yard. They are going replace it for free. I have to wait til they get one.

Try moving the cam gear one tooth clockwise from its current position on the timing belt. First mark them both with yellow paint so you know the original position.

If the distributor housing is maxed clockwise, turn the cam clockwise a tooth...same with ccw.
