just replaced all the plugs in my geo they were all gapped or worn way off the recommended gapping for this year. Now since doing so the car starts fine but has no umph, no go when driving up hill. mty question is if anyone could help me walk through the steps of timing it. I have the gun , going to have to use same cap and rotor for a minute due to finances. any help would ofcourse help. |

1. Paperclip in the connector according to label under-hood (top right of engine bay). 2. Hook up timing light and aim at top of crank pulley. 3. Record timing. 4. Loosen distributor bolt. 5. Adjust timing (10-12 degrees for performance or MPG, 4-6 for stock and/or emissions.). 6. Tighten distributor, remove paper clip. 7. Do the dance of joy. Edited by ascensions, Nov 1 2013, 03:27 PM.
