Does anyone know a trick to get a drivers door open when the lock won't unlock?

94 Metro hatchback 3 banger, has the automatic locks when you start to drive they lock at 5ish mph. so, can't unlock from inside or with key, I have the panel off enough that I can see the rods and inside of door latch, I have tried gentle prying and working the rods back n forth. I took the passenger side panel off and have been comparing and I can see that the lock seems to be jammed for some reason. I can't see real well because I can't get the panel all the way off with the door closed.

there has to be a way, if I can get the door open I might be able to see what the jam is and clear it or bypass it

ty Geogonfa, I got the door open just a bit ago by trying the key for the 80th redundant time and suddenly felt it turn further, then while holding it all the way over I tried the handle, (something I also tried 10 x yesterday) but the door popped open. Was able to get a better look and saw nothing, the lock started working from the inside as well. What ever the jam was it cleared. So I got it all back together, and D/C'd that auto lock too. we'll see.

First question... Have you ever sprayed any sort of lubricant into your door locks ... to make them work "Better" and all...

Forgot His Manpurse

Graphite or silicone lubricants would be good.

I spray my window tracks with silicon lubricant each time I change oil. At the same time I also spray all my locks. Been doing this since my 2001 Ford Ranger was new. No Problems yet.
