The post office is hiring CCA's and RCA's (mail men for city routes and rural routes) and that positions starts at $15/hr. Sure they say it is a "part time" position, but every single CCA I've ever talked to has worked no less than 50 hours per week.

It might be something for you to look into. No entry exam, just need to pass a piss test, be over 18 YO, a legal US citizen, and something else........Drats, I cannot remember it.

Talk to your local Postmaster, he/she can fill in all the little details.

It's official. I'm an employee of Complete Coach Works, which is based in Riverside, CA. I will be heading to Plattsburg, NY on Sept 21st, as a field technician for 5- 6 months, inspecting and doing repairs on buses that will be shipped out across the states. While I hate snow, and came to AZ to get away from it... gotta go to where the work is.

Congrats! The president went out of his way to keep you in the company so make everything count because he will be watching. You shouldn't have a problem turning this opportunity into a permanent job. Good luck!

Very good! I would keep your chin up. If you perform well enough, I am sure there will be more '5-6 month gigs' for you.

Stepping stone. I like your optimism. Keep your nose to the grindstone, work hard, be proficient, and never call in sick. The worm has turned, so make some mooooola.

Staying in Tucson. Only other consideration, would be another 5-6 month trip if there isn't an opening here and they offer one.

Good deal. Glad to here you landed what sounds to be a well paying job! Kinda sucks you gotta leave the fam for that long! Do they throw in some good perdiem for the time away? Do you get some certifications etc for the training?
