I would highly recommend a Sachs clutch kit, very nice product. I picked them up at Rock Auto. Not sure what the price was, but well worth it in my opinion. Next!!

go to a jk and find a 1.3 and purchase the flywheel. while there check out the clutch disk and pressure plate. That would be more within your budget and a used 1.3 setup would probably last longer than a new stock 91 clutch would with your teen age style of driving. But then If you can afford it a new 1.3 would probably be the best. I bought a 1.3 flywheel with 6Kmiles on it in Portland JY for $30 and a 1.3 clutch kit for $80. Made a big difference in my Vert, especially when I went from the 4.3 to the 4.1 tranny it seemed absolutely necessary design wise. You want to see the difference the next time we are in the same place remind me and you can take my vert for a quick spin |

I never 'cheap-out' on clutch kits... I expect the clutch to last well over 100k miles, so I'll spend a little more, which usually pays off. I've had good luck using both Sachs and LUK |

I-5 Oregon exit 306-A 9635 N. Columbia Blvd. Portland Or. 97203 1-503-286-6262 Is where I found mine and they had more. If that don't work try this website. http://row52.com/ ************************** Here is some I just found: 1- PICK-n-PULL Tacoma Lakewood, Washington 98499 Row 14 Added Nov 12, 2013 Engine 1.3L L4 SOHC 16V Trans 5-Speed Manual Trim 2-Door hatchback Vin 2C1MR2291S6772223 Color GREEN Barcode B2463519 ************************** There are about 4 or 5 more. I just punched in 1995 Geo into the website above. you can try each year thru 2000 bound to find one close by. some are listed as 1.3 engine but for the tranny they list---- 3 speed automatic/5 speed manual----so you will have to call them and ask them about the particular barcode number on each one. --have a credit card ready if they have one and have them ship it to you. also plan on having a machine shop take a clean up cut on it unless you really luck out. |

I just got finished installing an overhauled engine in Miser's car. He bought a new LUK clutch kit from Rock Auto. It's a nice kit. The clutch disk says Valeo. |

Ages ago, after a parts house clutch that slipped immediately after installation, (yes I followed the break in procedure ) I ordered a Spec stage 1 clutch kit that has survived many hard shifts and burnouts and towing other vehicles. I actually don't have it on the replacement motor as the original looked good and should have plenty of life left at 54k miles on it. It will get installed when this one wears out or when I get an errant hair follicle. Not a cheap option, but it will last. looks like around $230 out on the interwebs. Flywheel wise... Call up Napa... They have new flywheels... Not real expensive - maybe $80 or so.... |
