Spent all day working on our old hyster 40 forklift

Didt want to start today, and has been not wanting to rev for months

Cleaned regualtor and carb/mixer

Spent alot of time redoing lines, checking for vaccum leaks

Then i found a solution

Put a new bottle on it. Is the bottle installed correctly? Is the valve opened fully?

I would say it's a vac leak also. That would be the only reasonable way for it to run better like this. Try the old carb cleaner trick to find a vac leak.

too much air, too little fuel. I only have a vary little time with LP, but I do not believe that there is any vac system involved in fuel delivery. it is a positive pressure gas (as opposed to liquid) delivery system. my first thought would be the regulator.

is this a duel fuel system? if so, your crossover could be involved. ie; system is mixing for gasoline not for LP.

:gp Regardless of how the fuel gets in it, it can't run with to much air. If you can plug off the air cleaner and it does run then, it must be getting it somewhere else. Try the carb cleaner trick to find the air leak.
