Mine smelled the same way. All the 'formed' carpets were quite expensive, around $150. Took my carpet out, quick and easy, and laid it on cement and pressure washed it, then used a steam cleaner on it and finally sprayed it with a good smelling cleaner. Came out great. and much cheaper than what a new one would have cost. |

You can order a new one if you really want one.... But... Another option to the Pressure washer is to take it to a laundry mat and run it through one of the BIG washing machines.... Hang it outside to dry.... then stuff it back in. All nice and clean for $3.00 |

Local parts store has a new super duper odor killer product the name of it escapes me at the moment. It's a small tub of dry chemical that you open then set in the un occupied car with the windows rolled up for a few hours after which you air out the car. Might be worth a try. |

i rarely go into a sewer. i work from the top side and orchestrate the work of a hydraulic jet truck to clear stoppages, write work orders for repairs, sewer telemonitoring, etc. i spent 12 hours today running emergency overtime calls. after 30 years of engineering, flipping the lids off manholes is a piece of cake.

Thanks for the help guys, the company we work for is going to pay for the kit Lets just say it was an industrial accident. But guess who needs a new rug for his Ride? So we might just put these ideas to the test! |

Yep. LA County Main has nothing on any stink in any Geo. That place was nasty. I wanted to burn my clothes and take a bath in alcohol! Next month I'll have 20 years in Jail! Back to carpet though, seen some deals on Amazon (I think), Rock Auto, EvilBay. Mine is pretty trashed but it's pretty clean. it has that musty Old car smell. I miss my '64 C-10, the gas smell as the tank is behind the seat. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy in case I get T-Boned! |
