I want to thank all those that helped. I got the car driving, but now I have an entirely new problem, while going up the driveway it shut off and won't start, apparently I have no spark. Freezing after many hours outside, planning on trying to figure this out asap
Check for a broken timing belt. Pull the distributor cap, spin the engine and make sure the rotor is moving...

So what was wrong? Loose mounts? Axle not seated? clutch cable not adjusted correctly? Throwout bearing fell out? After following this thread for a couple of days, I want to know.
I whole heartedly believe that the clutch was adjusted too tightly. it's not perfect, but I plan on adjusting the pedal to ensure I have the proper free play.

As soon as we get the tractor and unbury the car tomorrow from snow that is exactly what we are doing. My father and I just had a discussion about that haha.
