Trying to get some ideas for my hair brained scheme and need to get an idea of how much a metro with the 1.0 XFi weighs with no engine tranny and axles. Yea, axles also. Please dont say "cant weigh that much", like duh , lol. Okay, just wanted to cut that one off at the path. Anyone actually know by chance?

Glenn just weighed an engine for me to get shipping quotes before I shipped mine to him. 87 pounds for block and head assembled. No manifolds, distributor, alternator, starter, etc. He figured there might be a few pounds of oil in it too. I would bet there are a few who have a trans and axles around who could weigh them for you. Edited by myredvert, Jan 20 2014, 10:27 PM.

Axles are decently heavy. I would say 10lbs or so each, maybe more. |
