I've owned my 88 Chevy Sprint Metro for about a year now, and after replacing the carburetor it drives like a whirling dervish on crack! But I'm realizing that long-term maintenance and upkeep may be costly, or downright IMPOSSIBLE due to lack of parts and limited pic-n-pull opportunities. Now that I've acquired a 94 Geo Metro 3/5 in pretty good shape, I may consider a new project for the 88 Sprint Metro.......![]() The car now has sideskirts and looks a bit different now, but for purposes of this discussion this pic will do. I'm actually considering converting the car into something similar to Johnny Mullets Ecomudder project. It would obviously require removing a good portion of the roof, most of the hatch, and both rear windows. Welding in a tube frame support and adding foglights would finish it off nicely. Does anybody here have skills in Photoshop where they could take this picture and create a sample of what I've envisioning?? I could send additional pictures also. Thanks! GeoStalker |

Noooooo Why in the fresh hell would you want to molest something like that? I could see if it was your average Sprint shitbox but not one like that. It's nice |

The picture is more flattering than the shape of the car. Don't get me wrong, it's okay. But far from mint, or even nice. |

I guess if it is done cleanly it would look cool, a bit like a 1980s Dodge Rampage |

I'm sure someone on here has some "professional grade" skills, but in the mean time..![]() Good luck with your project. A Metro "pickup" is at the top of my wishlist... someday

I still think those Rampages are cool. For awhile they were everywhere but I haven't seen one in years. |

You got me all excited when you said you wanted to "convert" your sprint. I thought you meant you were tired of paying for gas and paying for oil changes, exhaust, systems, tune ups, etc. Oh well. The conversion that you are talking about looks pretty fun. Best of luck. |

Or you could do that with your Geo instead of something that is 100x harder to find.... |
