Good luck |

I've been keeping an eye on car-parts.com since they seemed to be the most specific, but nonthing has popped up less than 6+ hours away from me. I am vacation and thought I'd check, turns out there are some near where I am vacationing, but looking at the page, I am not sure which version is the right one for a CA Geo Metro: http://s10.postimg.org/4gbvqygex/Picture_7.png It's going to be one of the top 3, but the wording is throwing me off, anyone able to help me know which option is the right one for my situation? Thanks! |

I am a little iffy, while the description sounds like it should work, it looks identical to one I previously purchased and was told by a mechanic that they couldn't legally install in the state of California. It could be that it's different, or the mechanic was wrong, I don't know. I know that my current exhaust manifold doesn't appear to have a catalytic converter, it seems to look incredibly basic, (from what I can tell without taking it out or anything, it looks like basically just pipes). In general, if anyone knows what the deal is with those part descriptions, it'd be amazingly helpful. No one's been able to give me a straight answer(I asked a few places online, as well as a few people I know, no one was sure), leading me to be really confused on what version of the part I need. |

Much and many thanks, again though, careful to make sure it's CA legal, it always seems to be the rub. |

Why not weld the crack? I had to do that with my car. Cost about $500 at Midas. No more problem. |

I welded the crack in the 4 cylinder 97 lsi in my signature below, and if I remember right, I posted pics. Cost me about $5. |
