I'm a member if the warped destroyed timing covers - but I think I found something. I was wondering if the Suzuki Swift of a similar year would have a similar cover. Let me know what you think: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sku/Dorman/Timing_Cover/RB635702.html I haven't done a side by side - because mines toast anyway - but it looks like it would work! Will it work? |

Did anyone else notice that the pics shows two different timing covers?...the only difference that I know of is the top two bolts...on a Swift they sit at a 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock position , and the Metro is at a 9 o'clock, 3 o'clock position... |

It's a difference between the Japanese and Canadian engines.... You can get the cover for the Jap engine at Napa... You have to order the cover for the Canadian engines from one of the GM parts houses.... |

What year timing cover is the link for? I have a 96 Geo Metro LSI (4-cyl) -- and the timing cover has a little crack. |

there's an applet on amazon that asks for data on your car. entering 93 geo metro xfi 3 cylinder 1.0 drew a response, "this item does not fit your vehicle." there's zero difference between a japanese manufactured g10 engine block and timing cover and a canadian manufactured g10 block and timing cover. a number of jdm replacement engines have passed through me to customers. manifolds, distributors, etc. removed from jdm replacement engines gives you the same basic engine block as a north american market engine block. |
