I picked up, a couple, and decided to do a dash install on my 91 IceBlue Xfi Sport.

Tools needed.

Posted Image

Trim and file an opening in the dash knock out.

Posted Image

Trim the LED meter tabs and super glue in.

The knock out locking tabs have to be filed down, inside and out, a little. It's a pretty snug fit.

Some window tint will help tone down the display for night driving.

Posted Image

The tint should be applied Before the meter is installed into the knock out. :smackface Mine was installed after. :shake

Some wrinkles, but not as bad, as the camera shows, in person.

Just some fun with a little dashboard Bling. :cheers

Very nice. Can you actually see that thing while you're driving, or do you have to crane a bit?

snowfish, that was exactly what i was doing.

i ordered 3 red and 3 green and did a green voltmeter in the same insert you used for my mk2 red vert. i've been scrabbling around in my junk to find a mk3 instrument cluster bezel to work up one for my gt.

where will you make your wiring connections? i'm thinking that i'll use the cigarette lighter for the hot wire. it's key switched on my gt. there's switched and unswitched power as well as a ground on the radio connector for the mk2 and mk3.

yours looks great. you must have gotten bored with riding the snowmobile. :P

You could wire in a small toggle or push button to turn it on and off if so desired. It appears there is a voltage drop at the cigar lighter and not an accurate assessment of the charging rate.

Thanks. :thumb It's easily visible while driving. :drivin Not bored with snowmobiling. :shake Just really slow at work. :tumbleweed The connection was made at the cigar lighter. Very easy source to tap into. :gamerz

Voltage drop? :news The 12.5v is key on, engine off, and four Glow Shift Gauges lit. Fire it up and we're at 13.5 -14v +/- depending upon if the headlights, heater, etc are on or not. Don't really need more accuracy than that. :-/

The temperature intrigues me. :hmm I do have another gauge. :hmm And plenty more knock out placements. ^o) Please share, with pictures, when you get that dialed in. :popcorn

That's the plan. Does anyone know of a blank for the power mirror slot on the left side?
