Question for 1994 geo metro 3 cyl. Can any one show me wiring diagram from rear defrost switch to hatch? Is it too difficult to change this wire ? I have a significant voltage drop ....at switch its more than 12v but when I check at hatch opening its about 7 volts.....and this is the reason why defrost does not work. I tried connecting a new wire from switch to hatch and voltage is more than 12v which is good... now it will look ugly if I run a wire from switch to hatch..btw red with white stripe is 12 guage wire? what is the best way to replace this wire ...I dont want it to be seen..it should be hidden like factory. is it too complicated to change this wire as it looks like its going through body Please advice... |

Also if you want tomorrow I can run outside and take some interior pictures of where the wire can go. My car has the interior gutted in the front and back due to replacing carpet with bedliner and all the plastic and rear seats are out as well. Right now there is still snow on the ground and it'd too dark and cold to go take pictures now but I'll try tomorrow ![]() For now: here is an older picture when most of the interior was stripped but the rear plastic was still on. I drew a red line sort of showing where you could run a wire with the main bundle that's already present in the little trough nearest the driver door. When you reach the rear area it would go I think under the seat and then I drew a circle that shows about where some wires go into the plastic trim that goes over the passenger rear wheel well. I drew the red line as close to the currently present wires so you could see what I meant. The plastic connector plugs for the read hatch is behind the plastic trim nearest the hatch on passenger side. ![]() |

On our '95, the wires run down the left side of the car all the way to the back under the trim by the tail light wiring, then cross over to the right and up the right side of the hatch opening and finally out to the window.
