I have a 94 2 door hatchback with the auto trans. Two years ago it wouldn't shift out of low so I bought a JDM trans for it. After researching I read that the solenoids might be bad. Before going to the trouble of swapping transmissions, I took the solenoids out of the JDM, swapped them into the old trans and changed fluid/filter. All was well until 3 months ago. Again it wouldn't shift out of first. This time I found out about the TCM, so I unplugged it and was able to shift manually. I found a replacement TCM and had it shipped. While waiting for it to arrive I plugged the old TCM back in and to my surprise everything worked again. When the replacement TCM arrived I put it away as a spare. Yesterday it would not shift out of first again. I swapped TCMs, but now it just acts like its unplugged and I have to shift manually. Any suggestions?
