Im upgrading from the old 91 head unit to a newer one but i have to splice the new plugin to the old wires.

Problem is the colors dont coordinate.

Does anyone have a diagram of what the 91 radio harness's color codes are?

Like left rear=color A left front= color B 12v= color C etc etc.

Don't splice, buy an adapter. See the wire for hire post in the audio section.

The harnesses are the same shape from 89-99.
The wires changed color on one wire, in 1992. (Cavity three, in 1992, was a black wire. In 1993, it became red with a green stripe.)
Check out these links:

Helpful Stereo Links has information on where to buy harness adapters (so you don't have to cut your factory harness! Simple, elegant, REVERSABLE.)

Wire for Hire is for if you decide you don't want to wire it yourself. I can help with that! :thumb

Here is a harness adapter: http://www.ebay.com/itm/390658292435 $3.99, free shipping!

Here is a thread which shows what color and what pin the wires are, and what they do: http://geometroforum.com/topic/5297606/
But please don't cut your factory harness. You'll make me sad. :(
