I have a 96 metro sedan 5 speed manual tranny. I see left and right differential oil seals sometimes called (driveshaft seals), an input shaft seal and a gearshift shaft oil seal that's 4 seals. The rebuild kits I see look like they have 5 seals in the picture. Am I missing something? Also some of the kits have gaskets for the case. Mine looks like it was put together with silicone gasket material. Is it worth it to buy the gaskets for the case? Thanks. |

The kits always have an extra seal, apparently some transmissions use the same size axle seals. No gasket available or recommended. |
