:rocker I have gotten a more positive contact with Samco. there is a chance of a METRO kit production!!!

I will continue communications and post here. when I get an answer as to what the minimum number of orders to cover the "first piece of production" is and what we need to provide, I will let everyone know.

the nice thing about this, is that if they do it, it will be available forever, well maybe not forever!

Perfect! I want to add the breather tube. Which is located on the valve cover and routes to the air cleaner. Reason for this is so all my hoses are the same color.

I'm down for a set. Egr, heat, pcv, rad would be nice. What's that 7 hoses?

The silicone hoses are not compatible with oil vapour. There will not be a pcv hose in a silicone hose kit.

From what I remember silicone is perfectly fine with oil. Its gasoline that it can't tolerate.

Hmm...you'd think with technology and all they could slip something a little more fossil fuel vapor safe on the inside to protect the silicone....or does that render the whole point of silicone moot?

personally I do not believe that the silicone hoses as in the last buy are either gas or oil tolerant. Samco does offer a resistant hose, but $ $.

right now, I am just trying to get my foot in the door. looking at reproducing our last purchase. foot is in! i have a 95+ kit i will submit to Samco Corp. i may need a pre 95 kit or hoses. cross that bridge when we get there.

first thought is basic kit,as last time, and a radiator hose kit. i think that if we can prove that it will be profitable, it will work. But this will be with Samco directly, not some milasian unknown, ????

thank yall for the support.

i will do every thing i can do to make this happen.

just a note, it is not that oil/gas resistant 'pcv' is hose is unavailable, but the cost is dramaticly more. potentially, an option. the focus is to get started.

AND PLEASE REMEMBER, Samco offers vac lines in 10 colors. check them out on their site. purchase of their products, and a shameless plug, wont hurt the cause.

Speaking of that, I was checking it out on their site here and was wondering what is the easiest way to find out how much / what size of tubing we'd need to replace all the vacuum lines? Is there a reference short of finding a vacuum diagram and physically checking each hose and taking inventory myself?

Their green color looks to match the green set of coolant hoses I got from the last batch and so I'd like to grab these vacuum hoses to match.

I believe the required hose amounts were posted somewhere here in the forum. I don't remember the thread but you could try the search button

I got my vac hoses directly from Samco. I purchased 15' of 2mm for $15 plus change. I do not recall s+h was, but it was in line.

15' was plenty to do the 2mm lines, on the 92. 10' would probably do it. but i do not recall if that length was available. the larger 3 or 4mm lines are less, i haven't gotten to them yet, but i guess 5' would cover it.

the vac line is 'sexy supple', if that's any kind of description, real nice. the colors should match the previous purchase fairly close. vac line is a different construction, so..... the red is a real good match.

in my last communication with Samco, he stated; "we are very interested in providing a kit. if you do a group buy, we can offer a better price than MSRP." the folks at Samco seem real nice to work with, no bs or attitude.

i will be sending pix of my unopened kit from the first group buy tomorrow. being the weekend it will be early next week,or so, before there is fresh news. if i do hear something new late tomorrow, i will post it.

at some time they will want a commitment. that will be down the road a bit, as they will need more from me as well.

I have some interest even though I have adapted an early kit to work on the 95, it all depends on price and timing.
