Well that was a quick response, the MSRP is a bit shocking, but will make them available forever. they will give a discount for a quantity of 20.

MSRP= $307 USD, for the eight hoses AND the PCV. ( 9 total )

so, now is time for the serious to step up to the plate. I am sure it will take a bit to get everyone organized, so start saving your pennies.

for starters, if you are truly serious PM me to get on the "purchase list", then as we go I will post the number of buyers. as we get closer to 20, I will post instructions for the purchase.

I will be getting 1 set. 19 to go.

At $307 a set , the guy is over priced for a Geo owner.

And that's with the discount? I can still do it but that's more than I wanted to spend. And I think that most people will be dropping out and we will not have the 20.

Not Really All That Smart

Geeze, man...

A complete set of new rubber several times still doesn't equal $307...

I understand that this is for the full 9 hoses. Anyway they can quote you on maybe just the main ones at a cheaper price. You've seen the type of finances people on this site work with. Even if this is inflated for the start-up cost, if these are close to the same price when completed then they will simply never sell.

I bought 2 sets of the knock offs for that price. If there is a good amount of interest I will be in. But at the moment I am a maybe.

$307 is MSRP, there will be a discount for the group buy. I will question the discount when/if we get closer to the mark.

I will also look into a "1/2 set" availability. once these are tooled, all will be available individually or any combination.

PCV tube is included and will be petroleum resistant material.

If we know what the cost would be instead of MSRP the number of people that would be willing to buy might go up.
We need to know what it is going to cost not that there maybe be a discount.

I believe that the discount is to be reflective of the total number of orders.

lets face it, if we can only put together enough to cover a 'breakeven' situation for the company (ie; cover the cost of tooling), there is less room for a discount than if we well surpass those costs.

well, it has been a while and it appears that the MSRP has scared off EVERYONE.

I will be checking to see if I can get a mini set put together, as was asked before. Looking over the folks who have shown the interest, I am going to try to get a price on the "mini set", to include the upper and lower radiator hoses, and the PCV hose. the PCV is the more expensive, as it requires a petro resistant material and is the most complex shape. it did appear that most who got the first hoses did want to add the PCV. further, there is no PCV hose available on the open market.

the pre 95 upper and lower radiator hoses should also 'work with' multiple applications.

EDIT: if anyone has contacts with the folks at the swift site, please invite them to join in.

I'm still game for this. Just been away for away. Previously I asked for two sets but after the price quote I'll ho for only one now.

Alright kel, that's two!.........18 to go.

I also got a super fast response from the folks at Samco and they are willing to do the mini set, but due to the different materials used for the PCV hose, they would prefer to do the upper/lower radiator hoses as a set, and the PCV separately.

the cost for the two (2) hose radiator hose set, upper and lower, would be $93.34.

the cost for the PCV hose would be $71.44.

the cost for the three (3) hoses would be $164.78.

I will PM those who initially showed interest to be sure all are informed as to what has been going on, and when we get close to the 20 needed, instructions will follow.

if my understanding is clear, we can order 20 radiator hose sets independently of the 20 PCV hoses.

I will start a new thread for sign up only.
