coolant temp gauge; not working

I have had an issue with the coolant temp gauge not working since I bought the car a year ago. I have worked on the problem with the help of some of the people here. I have found out that I had two problems.

The coolant temp sensor was bad and my temp gauge also doesn't work. The temp sensor I have already changed but i need help with the gauge.

I need to know if the electrical part behind the gauge face can be tested and fixed. It looks like this.

It has 3 resistors on it but I haven't tried checking anything yet. I had a extra cluster and the gauge works (atleast went straight to full hot position). That's how I now this one doesn't. Any help would be appreciated.

If you don't have any luck, I have this for sale on ebay. Everything worked when removed.
