I have a 96 2 door hatch back metro. I'm looking for the fuel pump wiring. My service manual says it is a pink wire that send 12 v to the pump. Does the wiring run back inside the car towards the rear seat or is it underneath the car? |

You should have 3 wires that run thru a hole under the right side of the rear seat. There should be a 2 conductor plug, (pink and black) and a single conductor plug (yellow). Yellow is for the fuel gauge, pink and black is for the fuel pump, pink is hot+, and black is ground-. You should be able to use your test light on the pink wire and it should light up for about 3 seconds when you first turn the key to the run position. (That is on the '93). Someone help me out if I am wrong----- |

I pretty sure you have nailed it. Fuel pump only runs for a few seconds and shuts off until car turns over and starts. I know the + wire is pink. |
