I need to put a new muffler on my Geo because the one I have is kinda rusty, almost falling apart and making a lot of rattling noises.
I was wondering if anybody knows of any good aftermarket mufflers that would fit my geo? I'm not trying to add performance and do not want to lose any mpg, actually that'd be nice if anyone knows of a muffler that would give me even better mpg. :) It has a new catalytic converter on it so all I'm looking for is the muffler at the end of the exhaust system.

Also I was thinking about putting a K&N air filter on it or some aftermarket filter. And again I'm not trying to add horsepower although that would be nice, I'd really like to just maximize the mpg I can get. Maybe it's best left stock?
Idk I'm a new Geo owner so I got some questions. :hmm

Thank you!

I just bought this one for $90 with no tax & free delivery to my door. It includes everything from the cat flange back. Might be more sensible than only replacing the muffler itself. . . at least that was my thinking.

If you remove the rear sway-bar/stabilizer-bar (6 bolts), you can do the whole job in about a half-hour! Read this thread: http://geometroforum.com/topic/5429876/1/
