To make it quieter, or is there something I'm missing here?

I just added the resonator because it was handy and it's basically a straight through pipe. Which is what I wanted because the flange was rusted apart. I don't know if it is quieter then a straight through pipe or not though. Lol

The rust on my car is terrible, hence the name rust bucket lol. Every single bolt is rusted and needs a long soaking in ATF and acetone, and then to be torched off. I am
Not sure the floor will last much longer then maybe another year or two MAX before having to be all welded together. Not looking forward to that.... But in the mean time it's natural weight reduction! MPG FTW :)

Depending on how my next project goes I might have arizona floor pans frame horns and body parts for sale. Not sure about it tho. I kinda want to part the car down for you rust guys to keep going with.

A wedge of solid cheddar will be more aerodynamic - and therefore get better MPGs - than a wedge of swiss cheese. Just sayin'. :lol

Took the engine and transmission out of the parts car! Took 3 hours, not bad considering it was my first removal ever!

Also got the manual car! $200. Solid as can be engine, starts cold what my car starts hot! It's a 2000 1.3, efi. I will start taking out the transmission, gear linkage, pedal assembly, clutch cable, and whatever else I need. Any advice with converting to manual, on the cheap, and carefree way? Lol

Got the manual transmission, clutch, and cables out of the car! The worst part of all, is the pedal assembly. Still haven't gotten it out. Started raining though. It'll probably take me one more day to get the auto out with both pedal assemblies and then one more to assemble everything, so hopefully by next week I'll be driving a manual!

The hardest part as I mentioned, and of anything I've done, was getting the pedals out. I think it would of been easier (or rather less painful) if I could remove the steering column. Which (correct me if I'm wrong) is by losen a bolt on the u joint, going under the car and pulling the axel(?? Insert proper name) out then pulling the part steering column, and remove the pedals that way?

You don't need to go that far...unplug the connectors coming off it, REMOVE the bolt at the bottom of the U-joint(down behind the pedals), and unbolt the steering column, 2 nuts down below and two up on the bottom of the dash.

That's assuming it didnt change in '95.

Don't let it land on your head. :lol

Here, you can see where it bolts on and such in this pic I took when I swapped mine out...

Thanks so much! Made a huge difference taking the pedals out and installing the clutch pedal assembly.

Got the transmission in, I read somewhere that the mounts apparently don't fit and you had to fab new ones?? All mounts fit in my car, literally unbolts everything off the manual and then transferred to the auto. It's unbelievably simple setup. Even the clutch cable at the fire wall is there! All you have to do is drill the holes. Still have to install axels, two more bolts, and then trick the ecu and I fill the tranny with gear oil. Should be able to finish tomorrow if I'm lucky.
