So the junk yard has some nice 15" Hyundai tires, but I'd only get them for winter. I currently have NEXEN 155/80 r13 M/S. How well do these tires handle in winter? Does anyone know? |

I'm not sure you can put 15's in that size on these cars. Really nice job on the dash, if I were you I'd get a frame brace, they're a life saver. |

I've had the same tires on my old firefly, I have a post somewhere on this forum lol and Whats a frame brace? And thanks! The dash was a total.... Pain in the butt. I used cheap paint and it came out wonderful. My brother did his truck simlar but the dash paint didn't stay matte, it went glossy oddly. |

Oh as we'll the final build cost was $370.88 CND. That's including the cost of the vehicle good deal I think.

i ran 195/55 15 competition tires on a white vert i built for weekend autocross and street driving. they didn't rub with a 1.4" suspension drop (h&r sport springs) but i also had rebuilt the suspension completely using polyurethane bushings throughout and the largest diameter sway bars available. if i were to run 15" tires on any of my current cars they would be 195/50 15s with rims having a 38mm offset. in my opinion, the sweet spot is 185/60 14 rubber on rims with a 38mm or 40mm offset. that was the size provided on the oem swift gti/gt cars. they make for a good compromise between ride and handling and there are still quite a few tire options in that size at an affordable price.

Lotta work thanks for the update. These geos seem to handle snow well if you ask me, but taller tires would be good or you will push high snow. |

That's sick! I probably can't get that in Canada though. I'll probably have to fab something up. I was thinking about strut braces too. Has anyone here done all three, frame, front and rear strut braces? Big improvement? |

And I think for now, this winter I'll see how well they handle. The tires are new so that's a bonus consider the care cost as much as the tires do lol. :p we get ALOT of snow where I am so if it's really bad I'll just go get tires I think. |

So I bought two power door lock actuators, off of amazon for $20. They don't come with a switch though, so I went to a wrecker and got some switches off a cavalier. ![]() ![]() One of the previous owners install a 'security' system, and I don't think he did I right. Sometimes it doesn't let me start the car. Just like in top gear uk with the used 1987-1989 BMW episode. I usually have to open the hood and bang around some stuff lol. But the upside is the alarm system has the wireless door unlock. So I will tie it into my stuff I will likely document my installation for those who are interested. |

The guy who makes that frame brace is in Canada so it's actually easy for you to get one. |
