It's colder then the North Pole at times!

Makes working on my car a bit hard, but if you love working on a geo, (or my case swift :p) doesn't matter if it's -40c or +40c. I remember last year it was -63 around christmas.

Up here, if your average commute is 15 miles, or less, we don't even need a radiator from Noveber to March. :cold The heater core takes care of it just fine. :thumb Our coolant fans run maybe twice a year tops. ^o) And that's when we're testing it to see if it still works. ;)

Yup, I've got a grill block. And I have a factory block heater on the front of the block, a inline heater on the rear coolant line, and a battery heater as well. Lol she starts up any temp! The coolant was 77f this morning!

This is my inline coolant heater, it's 300 watts. Had to cut the lower metal pipe a little to fit this in, works great!

Only installed it because I didn't know my factory block heater worked. The cable that came with the car was apparently the wrong one. I swapped it with my parts car cable and yahoo the factory block heater works :)

Here's the factory one. Probably a 500-600watt one, not sure though.

My engine gets so warm now, it was about -10 earlier this week and it was melting snow on the hood! 😂

Bad news though! Changing my oil about a hour ago. I notice it's LEAKING OIL. Always thought I was burning oil, but it's leaking. Looks like the crank shaft or oil pan area. I'm just gunna replace everything.

New:
crank seal
Cam seal
Oil pan gasket
Valve cover gasket
Paint valve cover RED for extra HP.
new timing belt, even though the timing belt was replaced about 50,000 kms ago.
And clean oil pick up if possible.

One good thing about the oil leak, is that the frame horn I welded last spring, it's totally SOAKED in oil. Haha. So no more rust there!
