I have a 97 Metro, LSi 1.3l. 2 door. Over the last few years I have been coming here and looking stuff up, a few post here and there. I am finally to the point where I can really start messing with the car. I have seen multiple threads and post regarding a body kit. I know there was nothing really made for a 97, however I know that many people buy other kits and modify them to fit. And yes I am aware the swift kits can work, however I dont really like the kits avail so I want something different. I saw the thread http://geometroforum.com/topic/2899979/1/?x=25 and I honestly like the way this looks. I am not new to fiberglassing so thats no problem. I saw that Dgeo used a Honda CRX body kit and modified it to fit a 94. As far as I can tell the front of the 94's are a little more boxy then my 97. So I am assuming it wouldnt look right. I want to find something that is similar to the rounder body shape of my 97. Does anyone know of any kits that would be something like that.Any ideas? thanks in advance |

The one that some people think looks like the 95-99, is the 1995-1999 Chevrolet Cavalier...maybe this could give you some avenues...

If you don't mind messing with fiberglass, you can make what ever you want. You can buy some resin and fiberglass cloth and make your own style. The one below is home made out of just that...

Ok, thanks guys. I thought about a cavalier when I did the original post but for some reason omitted it. I think my plan is to find a cheap used cavalier kit, then depending on how it looks modify it how I want it. Know of anyone that has used a cavalier one? Any pics? Thanks again |

I suggested this a while ago. Go to a junk yard. Find a Cavelier. Remove the front bumper. Find a Metro. Remover the bumper. "Install" the Cavelier bumber onto the Metro & see what you find. Take some measurements, etc. It appears it will fit with a 6" or so section cut from the middle of the bumper. |
