They can be repaired as well, but it's pretty much the same process. You have to find a set of vents that the tiny pins aren't broken and swap out your broken ones for the good ones. The slats will pop out if you are very careful. I know I removed that vent to paint the surround and I also know I didn't remove the dash, but I do not remember what I did or if the 95 is possibly different.

I haven't been able to do much the last few days. I have had a migraine for the last 3 days and on Sunday I did a March for Babies walk. Not much has been done but the LEDs are on there way! https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?qtc_tLabels1=9400110200830252415443

After I look at it, I think its a little more Orange Red. I like it a lot, just worried that when I replace all the hoses and spark plug wires that they are going to be a little more RED then orange. So I guess there is a small chance of me having to repaint it sometime

the aftermarket silicone hoses are more orange red that fire engine red. they will probably be fine.

i've ordered several red radiator hose sets that came to me as that orange red color.

The cluster LEDs came in yesterday. Have them installed here are pics. They look better and more red in person. I just noticed in the pictures they look pinkish.

Here is a picture around 6pm, still light outside.

also, has anyone thought about adding speakers to this? yes i know they would weight the hatch down and I would need stronger lift struts

i have never much cared for speakers mounted in the hatch cover. they really don't sound very good and they limit the capacity for carrying things in the trunk are. unless you cover the rear sides of the speakers mounted there you can get damage to the cones if something pokes them.

also, something i grind on is that you want your sound stage set up so that directional cues come from the front speakers. rear speakers shouldn't even be heard, they are only there for fill and for simulating reflected sound waves like you would hear in a live setting as an echo from the rear of the venue.

Today while my son was napping I had about an hour to mess with the car. I am tired of looking at the body in the condition it is in. Since I dont have a lot of money to invest in it right now, I decided to start working on it panel by panel. I started with the rear pass side since that is where I had already started a few years ago. I sanded the crap out of it and got all of the old paint off (I am not sure if I ever mentioned this but the previous owners painted it with what looks like marine paint.. AND THEY PAINT BRUSHED IT ON). I got that panel pretty much done, then laid a coat of primer on it so it wouldnt rust. I plan to just work on it as I can and when I have the body work done I will finish it more and then takes steps to paint it.

I'm an F-body fan as well. Judging from the work you did on those Camaros, you will be able to make the Metro look as good as you want it to. I hear you about switching from pursuing power to pursuing efficiency. But there is definitely something to be said about the power to weight ratio for these little cars.

My fiance got tiredof the multicolored paint, so i have started sanding it down section by section. Going to paint it, well primer it, all black. Plan to paint it possibly this spring.

Found this under a layer of paint. Almost the entire rear quarter panel is f*cked. There is a massive area of rust, and a giant area covered in thick body filler... I covered all that I grinded down by primer now cause it looked like its going to rain, didn't feel like adding more fuel to the fire.
