I have a '91 metro 1.0 and my temperature gauge does not work. I am not sure where the sensor is located. I have one sensor that screws into bottom of intake that is just above the alternator. It has a single prong that sticks out of it. There is no wire anywhere that I can find that goes on it. I have looked everywhere. There are two other sensors located near thermostat. One has a blackwire and a white/blue wire attached and a second sensor that has a yellow/white wire attached. Any information on these sensors and which one goes to the gauge in the dash would be appreciated. |

Yellow/white for the win. On some later models the one above the alternator is for the gauge but not on your model. Unplug the yellow/white wire and ground it and turn the ignition switch on. Does the gauge go to hot? |

The fog lamp fuse was blown. The needle is moving. I unplugged the yellow wire and needle dropped to cold. Seems to be working. Thanks. |

That disconnected one on your intake manifold is for A/C |

Keeps blowing fuse after a few minutes. Would it be possible to run the yellow/white wire from the sensor directly to gauge in dash? I am not sure what all runs off this fuse. |

if its blowing fuses its either overloaded or grounding out somewhere. probably the later. you could try to run parallel wires and see if that fixes the problem. or try and track down where its grounding out. which could be easier depending on how wrapped your wires still are from the factory. less places to look, if it is still wrapped chances are that area is good. |
