It's been many years since I took armor all to a car interior. I'm getting ready to do the interior and exterior plastic, vinyl and rubber parts on BananaFanta. What's the recommendation these days? I'm most worried about not messing up the dash. It's in great shape and I don't want to compromise it by using something that looks nice now but is harsh or ruins the vinyl.

I normally just use Armor All... but in my opinion....whatever you decide to use I def would try it on a small, unseen piece before doing the entire dash.

Just my $.02, Black magic works good it is oil based if you like that shiny look...would not use Armor-all, it is alcohol based and will eventually dry out the plastic...mild soap and water works best and will not deplete the oils from the plastic...non-alcoholic baby wipes also work good...a little trick I learned is if you use a hair dryer to warm up the plastic it will bring the oils back to the surface of the plastic, and then use the black magic and it will soak the oils back into the plastic as it cools... :type

On their webpage they specifically state: Do Not use on vinyl tops.

At the bottom of this page see #4...

That's why I stated "plastic"...I only use mild soap and water or " Raggtop " cleaner on my vinyl tops, never use a cleaner on the clear plastic window...
