used to have a 96 metro..totaled that, anyways was an LSi.... 4/3 with a tach....new metro on the way saturday its a 99 chevy metro base, 3/5 no factory tach.

funny enough my old car is still at the local pick n pull....is this a quick swap in change over or do i have to do special stuff because of trans/engine differences? need to know asap because if so ill go yank my old cluster out and use that instead.

Two different transmissions....are you saying your original was a 4 cylinder 3 speed automatic?

if your asking about a tach swap, no they wont swap out like a plug and play, the difference is because your going from a 4 cylinder 3 speed auto to a 3 cylinder 5 speed.
it can be done but there is a tutorial on it somewhere in the archives on here.
it can be done but you have to do some soldering i think and add a resistor.
if you can handle it, look it up and do it.

It's plug and play but will read wrong unless you solder a resistor inside the tach head.

It's worth $50 though to someone else who does have a 95 - 97 four cylinder, or doesn't mind soldering.
