Ordered a new cat for my 95 and it arrived with a bung port for a downsteam O2 sensor. I just need to know what size & thread the downsteam bung is. I found a M18x1.5 bolt on ebay but i'm not sure it'll fit. Does anyone know of a local source for bolts of this size? Hardware stores have been a strikeout so far. --edit-- Turns out they are readily available for about $3 at most auto parts stores. Just needed to search for "m18 plug" M18x1.5 fits perfectly Edited by LeoGeo, May 11 2014, 05:20 PM.

Junkyard O2 sensor? Or an old one you have laying around? Might be easier to find than a bolt. |

Might check and see if any spark plugs you have kicking around fit it as well. |

Most sparkplugs are 14mm. I think the bung is 18mm but I'm not sure of the pitch. I'll go and see if I can find my bunghole thread chaser. Yep! It's a 18x1.5 Ken.......... Edited by 91 ragtop, May 4 2014, 10:29 AM.

The M18 plugs can be bought in the automotive hardware (drain plugs) at most farm and home type hardware stores. A big store like Lowes or Home Depot probably will be a no go but a small rural store will be a better bet. I have bought these for this exact purpose. I had an older carbed Jeep and all the exhaust manifolds you can find currently have the O2 sensor hole so I needed to plug this up. Conor |
