Here is the 3-Wheeled Metro I mentioned in the Minnesota Metro Meet thread a few weeks ago.
It looks like Randy will in fact be bringing it to the meet in August!! :banana

Dear Lord, that looks like a 3 wheeler I saw on Top Gear. Every time Jeremy turned a corner the car flipped over. How is the stability on the metro? How many folks can ride in it? How is the exhaust piped under the car?

Randy told me that he had to add a stabilizer bar to the front of the car to make it stable. He said before he added it, it was very unstable. he did remove the back seat, more for weight I presume, so it seats just 2 as of now. The rear tire is mounted just far enough behind the gas to clear it. From what I could tell he used one of the rear hubs, and still uses the brakes in the rear, he even said the emergency brake worked. I didn't get a chance to check the exhaust.
This thing is cool, and he gets to show it off in August to all that want to come and enjoy the festivities, :thumb

1 wheel in the back is WAAAAAY different than one wheel in the front. Even without the stabilizers it would be a load more stable than the reliant lol

That was a Reliant Robin. Way different with one wheel in the front. Lots of cars have used this setup with pretty good results. The early Morgan was considered a sports car, people raced them.

Unless the laws of physics have changed and drag reduction from reduced weight, rolling resistance, and fewer suspension components in the airflow underneath doesn't work the way it always has, how exactly could it not be?
